A Peek Into My Life #3

I know it has been a long while since I last wrote here on my blog. Unfortunately, I just have not had the time or inspiration to do so. I will try to post more with the Christmas coming up and Thanksgiving almost here. But I won’t be able to post that much because I do have other priorities I need to attend too, #alifeoutsideblogging

Now for a peek into my life. (Hey, wait. I like that title. Okay, I just changed these posts name from Pictures From My Life to A Peek into My Life. Yep, that sounds a lot better.)

The first picture is…

I have the most adorable baby brother. Aren’t sleeping babies always the cutest?

 

And because he is so adorable I have to put another picture. Just look at that face!

I really like this quote. I think my sister found it on the internet. I have too many favorite quotes to count! Same goes for books and movies. And songs. I have a really hard time at picking just one of things. XD

 

Here is a poor stray kitten that was wandering around our house. It took us a long time to catch him and then even though he was almost skin and bones he didn’t want to drink the milk we offered. But we found a kindly neighbor to take him in.

 

 

The littles are always eager to put on a theatrical for us. This was a talent show one night.

 

Apple cider and apple cake: refreshments for movie night. My four-year-old sister’s favorite quote (and the only one she knows) from that movie is “let go of my hand sir and sit over there!” It is entertaining when she says it, trying to imitate the actress with her annunciation.

This is my siblings and I hiking with some friends on one of the trails at a conference center. We went to  the NCFIC conference in NC at the end of October. The theme of the conference was the Glory of Jesus Christ and I had an amazing time. This was our seventh time going and I think every time it gets better!

This was our room at the conference. Not the prettiest sight, but you don’t have much time to clean between going to sessions, visiting the vendor hall and talking to friends.

 

4:30 in the morning. That’s when the great discussions happen. (but that was Saturday night and church the next day didn’t start until 10:30, so we got a little sleep.)

 

Here is the late Sunday night/early Monday morning volley ball. Sort of a tradition to play until at least 2:00 AM.

 

And to end on a cute note I’ll just put another picture of Courage. Every child needs to have a ride in the laundry basket.

I have sort of started to listen to Christmas music. I usually don’t start until Thanksgiving day but my siblings wanted to listen to it early and I was sort of drawn in… This song is one of my favorites to listen to. It’s a twist on a traditional Christmas carol sung by Celtic Thunder. I love Celtic music, Christmas music and things that are melancholy, and this song is all three. The other song of theirs that I adore listening to (and watch because of the dramatic choreography) is Caledonia. I listened to it like a dozen times in two days.

 

Would you all like to see a post about our Thanksgiving and maybe some Christmas decorations/traditions in a couple weeks? Have you listened to Celtic Thunder? Aren’t little siblings the best?

Oh, and happy Thanksgiving! (to all who live in these United States of America)

And an interesting thought: this is my first time spending three Thanksgivings in one house in my life! (and this is my 16 Thanksgiving!) Can you tell my family likes to travel?
